Artwork & Copyright Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
At Stikaroo, we specialise in producing custom printed stickers, labels and personalised products using artwork supplied by our customers.
This policy explains your responsibilities when submitting artwork, how we use your files, and the standards that apply to all artwork submitted through our website.
By placing an order with Stikaroo, you agree to this Artwork & Copyright Policy together with our Terms & Conditions of Sale and Privacy Policy.
1. Customer Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all artwork, text, images, logos, designs and other content you upload or submit to Stikaroo.
Before placing your order, you should carefully check:
- spelling;
- grammar;
- punctuation;
- names;
- dates;
- addresses;
- telephone numbers;
- email addresses;
- website URLs;
- QR codes;
- barcodes;
- ingredients;
- legal wording;
- measurements;
- colours;
- layout.
Stikaroo prints artwork exactly as supplied unless a design service has been separately agreed.
2. Ownership of Artwork
You retain ownership of your original artwork.
By submitting artwork to Stikaroo, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to:
- store the artwork;
- reproduce it;
- edit it where necessary for production;
- print it;
- manufacture your order;
- retain it for repeat orders where appropriate.
This licence exists solely for the purpose of fulfilling your order.
3. Copyright & Intellectual Property
By uploading artwork, you confirm that:
- you own the copyright; or
- you have obtained permission from the copyright owner; or
- the material is in the public domain; or
- you have a valid licence allowing commercial reproduction.
You also confirm that your artwork does not infringe:
- copyright;
- trademarks;
- registered designs;
- patents;
- image rights;
- privacy rights;
- publicity rights;
- any other intellectual property rights.
You accept full legal responsibility for the content you supply.
4. Trademarked Material
We reserve the right to refuse orders containing unauthorised use of registered trademarks.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- company logos;
- sports teams;
- vehicle manufacturers;
- entertainment brands;
- gaming brands;
- fashion labels;
- television programmes;
- film franchises.
We may request evidence that you have permission to reproduce protected material.
Failure to provide satisfactory evidence may result in cancellation of your order.
5. AI-Generated Artwork
Customers remain responsible for any artwork generated using artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
By submitting AI-generated artwork, you confirm that:
- you have the right to use it commercially where applicable;
- it does not knowingly infringe another person's intellectual property rights;
- it complies with all applicable laws.
Stikaroo accepts no responsibility for copyright disputes arising from AI-generated content supplied by customers.
6. Prohibited Content
We reserve the right to refuse any artwork that we reasonably believe:
- infringes copyright;
- infringes trademarks;
- promotes illegal activity;
- contains hate speech;
- promotes discrimination;
- contains obscene or offensive material;
- incites violence;
- contains defamatory material;
- breaches applicable laws or regulations.
Orders may be cancelled without production where prohibited content is identified.
7. Print Quality
The quality of the finished print depends upon the quality of the artwork supplied.
For best results we recommend:
- 300 dpi resolution or higher;
- artwork created at the final print size;
- vector artwork where possible;
- CMYK colour profiles for professional printing;
- PDF, AI, EPS, SVG or high-quality PNG files.
Low-resolution files may produce blurred or pixelated results.
8. Artwork Checking
We carry out basic pre-production checks where practical.
These checks are intended to identify obvious technical issues such as:
- missing fonts;
- corrupted files;
- extremely low resolution;
- missing linked images.
Our checks do not include proofreading, spell checking or verifying the accuracy of customer-supplied information.
Customers remain responsible for the accuracy of all submitted artwork.
9. Colour Reproduction
Colours displayed on screens will not exactly match printed colours.
Variations may occur due to:
- monitor calibration;
- mobile device displays;
- lighting conditions;
- printing materials;
- laminate finishes;
- manufacturing tolerances.
Unless a bespoke colour matching service has been agreed, slight colour variation is considered normal and does not constitute a manufacturing fault.
10. Proof Approval
Where digital proofs are supplied, production will only begin after approval has been received.
Approval confirms that you have checked:
- spelling;
- layout;
- positioning;
- colours;
- dimensions;
- artwork content.
After approval has been given, additional amendments may require a new order or incur additional charges.
11. QR Codes & Barcodes
Customers are responsible for ensuring that any QR codes or barcodes supplied function correctly before placing an order.
Stikaroo does not verify the functionality of customer-generated QR codes or barcodes and accepts no responsibility for losses arising from incorrect or non-functioning codes supplied within customer artwork.
12. File Formats
We accept a variety of file formats including:
- AI
- EPS
- SVG
- PNG
- JPEG

Where unsupported file formats are supplied, we may request replacement artwork before production can begin.

- to reproduce previous orders;
- to fulfil repeat orders requested by the customer;
- for customer support purposes.

We will not share your artwork with third parties except where necessary to:
- manufacture your products;
- fulfil your order;
- comply with legal obligations.
Appropriate technical and organisational measures are used to protect stored artwork.
15. Portfolio & Marketing
We respect our customers' intellectual property.
Unless you have given us permission, we will not use your artwork, logos or designs in our advertising, social media, portfolio or promotional materials.
