Getting Started

Our online design tool makes it easy to create professional stickers and labels.

You can:

  • Upload your own artwork
  • Add text
  • Upload logos
  • Choose colours
  • Resize elements
  • Select your preferred material
  • Preview your design before ordering

No professional design experience is required.

Creating Your Artwork

For the highest quality print we recommend:

  • Designing at the final print size
  • Using high-resolution images
  • Keeping important information away from the edges
  • Checking spelling carefully
  • Saving your artwork before ordering

Which File Formats Do You Accept?

Preferred formats:

  • PDF
  • AI
  • EPS
  • SVG

Also accepted:

  • PNG
  • TIFF
  • JPEG

Avoid screenshots or images copied from Facebook, Instagram or websites wherever possible.

What Resolution Should My Artwork Be?

For professional print quality we recommend:

300 dpi

Images below this resolution may appear:

  • blurry
  • pixelated
  • soft

If you're unsure, send us your artwork and we'll be happy to advise.

RGB vs CMYK

Screens display colours using RGB.

Printers reproduce colours using CMYK.

Because of this, printed colours may differ slightly from what you see on your monitor or phone.

This is completely normal and applies to all commercial printing.

What Is Bleed?

Bleed is extra artwork extending beyond the finished edge.

We recommend:

3 mm bleed on all sides

This prevents white edges after trimming.

What Is the Safe Zone?

Keep all important content at least 3 mm inside the finished cut line.

This includes:

  • logos
  • text
  • QR codes
  • barcodes
  • borders

This allows for normal commercial trimming tolerances.

Which Fonts Should I Use?

Choose clear, readable fonts.

Before exporting artwork:

  • convert fonts to outlines; or
  • embed fonts into PDFs.

Avoid extremely small text.

Can I Use My Company Logo?

Yes.

You should only upload logos you own or have permission to use.

By placing an order you confirm that you hold the necessary rights to reproduce your artwork.

Can You Print Copyrighted Logos?

Only where you have permission.

We may refuse orders containing:

  • copyrighted artwork
  • registered trademarks
  • sports logos
  • entertainment brands
  • commercial logos

if appropriate permission cannot be demonstrated.

QR Codes

QR codes should:

  • be high resolution
  • remain within the safe zone
  • be tested before ordering

Always scan your QR code before placing your order.

Barcodes

Ensure barcodes are:

  • high quality
  • correctly sized
  • generated using reliable software

Stikaroo does not verify barcode functionality.

Will My Colours Match My Screen?

Not exactly.

Colour differences occur because screens display light while printing uses ink.

Small colour variations are normal within commercial printing.

Which Sticker Material Should I Choose?

Premium Matt Vinyl

Best for:

  • outdoor use
  • product labels
  • bottles
  • jars
  • waterproof applications

Premium Gloss Vinyl

Ideal for:

  • vibrant colours
  • premium appearance
  • waterproof applications

Matt Paper

Ideal for:

  • packaging
  • gift labels
  • indoor products

Gloss Paper

Suitable for:

  • retail packaging
  • product branding
  • short-term indoor use

Waterproof or Paper?

Choose vinyl if your labels will be exposed to:

  • water
  • condensation
  • oils
  • refrigeration
  • outdoor conditions

Choose paper for:

  • dry environments
  • gift packaging
  • product boxes
  • indoor use

How Do I Measure My Product?

Measure the flat area available for your label.

Avoid:

  • curves
  • ridges
  • seams
  • handles

Always allow a small margin around the label.

If you're unsure, contact us before ordering.

Common Artwork Mistakes

The most common issues we see are:

  • Low-resolution images
  • Screenshots
  • Missing bleed
  • Text too close to the edge
  • Spelling mistakes
  • Incorrect QR codes
  • Poor-quality logos
  • Tiny text
  • RGB artwork expecting exact colour matching

Checking these before ordering helps achieve the best possible result.

Production Times

Production times vary depending on:

  • product type
  • quantity
  • artwork approval
  • seasonal demand

Estimated production times are shown on individual product pages.

Can I Change My Order?

If production has not started, we'll do our best to help.

Once production begins, personalised products cannot normally be amended.

Please contact us immediately if you notice an error.

Delivery

Delivery times shown at checkout are estimates.

Occasionally delays may occur due to:

  • courier issues
  • severe weather
  • peak seasonal demand
  • events outside our control

We'll always do our best to keep you informed.
